It’s 2018 and that means legal, recreational marijuana has finally made it to California. Let’s face it no one does pot like California so it’s about damn time. According to the LA Times:

Yes that’s right, according to the Times: “as of Friday afternoon, only two shops in the Greater Los Angeles area had been granted licenses to start recreational sales. Both are in West Hollywood and, at the city’s request, will open Jan. 2, not on New Year’s Day.”
You can read the full article here – and now that it’s the 3rd there are probably a few more recreational shops open. If you’re already a medical smoker it’s business as usual for you. The difference now is you don’t have to worry about your card – but you do have to worry about DWI – so keep your smoke at home if you’re driving. “Driving While High” tickets are bound to be a boone for state authorities. The state of California makes a killing on court fines – but it’s a small price to pay for finally having legal, recreational marijuana in the state.
